Oil drain plug gasket?

is it necessary to change the drain plug every oil change? i have a jeep cherrokeOil drain plug gasket?
The drain plug, no. But it is a very good idea to change the crush seal on the plug every time. They are cheep. A few cents are better than loosing your oil.Oil drain plug gasket?
I always change mine but thats just me. Don't know what the factory recommends.
You don't have to. but the gasket is safe insurance to change each time. If you ask me. umm............. well... i guess you did...
