I disagree with offroadj. Metal to metal is not a good seal and I have never seen an oil drain plug without a gasket of some kind. Most have a nylon washer and most auto parts stores sell various sizes of them.Do all the magnetic oil drain plugs have a gasket on them?
no, not all oil drain plugs have a gasket on them, in fact most do not
