Oil change missing gasket around drain plug.......is this a big deal?

I just changed the oil on my new Subaru. I then noticed that the little metal gasket that goes on before the plug was off and I did not put it back on. The drain bolt was tightened very well though. Any chance it might leak? Or is it going to be fine?Oil change missing gasket around drain plug.......is this a big deal?
If it's not leaking you'll be ok,next oil change though go to your local auto parts store and pay a couple dollars and replace it.Unless you have a clean container then go today drain it replace the plug and put it back in ,it must be DIRT FREE,the container that is cause when you buy your new plug it'll have the gasket on the oil plug.Oil change missing gasket around drain plug.......is this a big deal?
it is better to have a look at that regularly and other wise seal it with silicon for time sake....
if something is meant to be between two things put it there :P It may not leak at this moment but it may as time goes by..just like wen you skip a washer or something on a kids toy you put together at home and it constantly gets loose :P
You need to put it on. Gasket is the word. It is called that because it stops leaks. It will leak and cost you money. In oil and if your not checking it, it will cost you a need motor. Most put it on. Very important.
Just keep an eye on it. You should be ok.
