How do you fix a leaky oil pan when you have replaced a stripped oil drain plug?

on a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee LaredoHow do you fix a leaky oil pan when you have replaced a stripped oil drain plug?
Sorry but the only remedy is to replace the oil pan. I have seen people try to bore the hole out, rethread it and put in an oversized plug and I have also seen people try to put helicoils in the pans and neither remedy worked. A new oil pan is the best solution. How do you fix a leaky oil pan when you have replaced a stripped oil drain plug?
Go to an autopart store and as for an 'oversize oil drain plug'.

They have them for most popular sized oil plug like 1/2';.

Basically the self-taping oil plug that will cut a new thread.

You're not the first person who has stripped the thread of the pan and this is the solution for you.
no don't use sealant just go to the parts store and tell them what you have and they will sell you a over sized drain plug. will be stiff to put in first time. i have one in my dodge caravan and it has been in there for 85000 miles. have over 250.000 on it.
Your best bet is to replace the oil pan. If not, then get a tap and die kit and tap the hole for the drain plug. Go to auto parts store and tell them the size that you tapped it to. They should be able to help you find a replacement. Hope this helps.
ITS CALLED EPOXY STEEL WELD ITS AVAILABLE AT ALL AUTO PARTS STORES. HAVE TO GO AROUND THE DRAIN WITH IT BUT THE OIL PAN WILL HAVE TO BE COMPLETELY EMPTY AND DRY OTHER WISE GET A NEW OIL PAN FROM THE JUNK YARD
