Oil Drain Plug Torque?

Could someone please E-Mail me as to what the proper torque should be in ft. lbs. for a 2007 Toyota Camry with a 2.4 liter 4 cylinder engiine . Sometime the recommendation will be , like betweeen , say 15 to 20 lbs . THATS MERELY AN EXAMPLE . I WILL CERTAINLY APPRECIATE THE CORRECT INFO I COULD GET FROM ANY OF YOU OUT THERE IN CYBER SPACE !!!! Richard M. Birkby , E-Mail = rmbmpl@verizon.net .Oil Drain Plug Torque?
because of the composition of the drain plug gasket which might be metal , plastic or rubber , you should never torque a drain plug.

hand tighten it then with a wrench give it a 1/4 turn.

that would be enough.Oil Drain Plug Torque?
Just do it hand tight. I don't even think there is a torque spec, if there is no one follows it. Go to any shop and ask them if they use a torque wrench on drain plugs. They'll give you a funny look.
i believe it is 16 lbs...but im not sure...im in middle of moving and my books r packed up...call ur local walmart in the morning and ask there service department since they torque all the plugs on ther oil changes they will no....good luck
40 or so?
