It doesn't. The factory drain plug has a rubber o-ring attached that seals, when the drain plug is tightened to the proper torque. Installing another gasket over it may cause an oil leak. The drain plug size is a 14x1.50, could be a 12x1.75 very few fords use those though, most gm's use that size but I have seen a few fords with them.
