My 1996 saturn is leaking oil from either yhe oil pan or the drain plug. how can i be sure that is where it is?

If there's only oil around your plug, it's the plug. If there's oil above that, it's coming from somewhere else. Or at least somewhere else too. Oil doesn't run uphill. Although it does tend to run backwards, from when you drive your car.My 1996 saturn is leaking oil from either yhe oil pan or the drain plug. how can i be sure that is where it is?
so if you know it is the pan or the plug do it step by step 1st take the plug out clean around the surfece relly good and install a new plug fill her back up with oil if you still have a leak then its ur pan.
