You may have to remove the engine to change the oil pan to get the rounded off drain plug off.The oil drain plug on my 89 mustang is rounded off ?
If you have access, use a small chisel and tap it with a hammer in the direction

for removal. After it's out and a new one is in hand, make sure you don't

overtighten it. The fast-change oil places are notorious for that

practice. Be certain that you have the proper size wrench/socket.

Ask the guy at the parts store for the correct one. I would avoid

an Easy-Out. If it breaks you will be compounding the problem.

The bolt will come out with a little persuading. Easy-Outs are

hard to the point of being brittle and thery break surprisingly

easy.
Take a dremmel and with a grinding wheel and cut a couple good sides. Take small pipe wrench and a foot long pipe and put the pipe wrench over the new good sided stud. Twist the right way and the oil drain plug will come off. If the pipe wrench slips for any reason, go back to the dremmel and tweak your sides and make them better and put the pipe wrench back on and take it off.
Take it to a mechanic and have him remove it and change the oil and tell him not to tighten the bolt too much...If a mechanic changed it the last time take it back to the same mechanic and tell him what happened to you, I've done that and just had them loosen it so I could get it off.
they sell sockets at autozone for that type of issue
I have a socket called a Gator Grip that works like a champ on rounded bolts.

Buy new drain plug from dealer, remove with vice grips in good shape to ensure a good bite, change oil and filter, install new drain plug.
First , buy a new plug. Parts stores sell an item called an EZ Out , just drill hole in the plug, insert the ez out , put a ratchet on the end and unthread it. Worse case scenario, take it to a welding shop and have a nut welded on the plug that you can put a wrench on.
