Where is the transmission oil drain, on a 1985 sportster,and what shape is the drain plug,like?

also i see where the oil drain is, is there a way also to drain the oil, well thanks lot. the sport i got now from harley 1985, the other 78 ,and they are so diffrent ,sets up for things are diffrent ,well thanks alotWhere is the transmission oil drain, on a 1985 sportster,and what shape is the drain plug,like?
Tbone 139, Hey, Sportsers use the primary fluid to lube the trans, on the left side under the primary cover there is a 3/4'; hex screw that will drain it...Again on the left side, under the battery box is a hose that


plugs into a nipple, move the clip to the left, pull the hose and your oil comes out...Hope that Helps...Where is the transmission oil drain, on a 1985 sportster,and what shape is the drain plug,like?
They use the same engine oil so only 1 plug and it is hex shaped.
get a damb shop manual,how you gonna have an iron sporty without a manual? all those ironheads do is break down.
