the thread size is 14mm. The head is either 13mm or 5/8. They made a small head and a bigger one. I think the 5/8 is in your year but could be the smaller 13mm.What size is the oil pan drain plug on an 89 Aerostar?
If it is American standard it will be 7/8 if it is metric it will be 15mm.
This is one of those vehicles when it could be either one depending on plant production.
I'd go with the 15mm first
